Withdrawal hurts just as bad.

I yearn to be in a hospital again. I can’t wait.

Scrubs. Odd hours. Smell of spirit.Sight of blood.

Strung colleagues.Nasty bosses. Difficult nurses.

Sick patients.Angry relatives.Ungrateful people.

Coffee with no milk. Cold cheese and tomato sandwiches.

How much I have missed my life. The only one I know.

The only one I want to live.

Every time you mention cold sandwiches, my stay at the hospital while Mom was admitted comes back. :/

I want to say you are welcome but then I don’t think it is any bigger than a commitment a teacher makes to young minds or a lawyer makes to uphold the law. I think all of us and our jobs are important and admirable in their own place. 🙂
