Life’s Digest # 2232
It’s nice to know lots of people, but they aren’t all your friends.
There is a difference between friends and contacts.Don’t mix the two.
No place for counting, friends are priceless.
Friends don’t judge, they understand.
Don’t judge someone for telling you the truth, as that takes a lot of courage.
There is nothing like unconditional love. That too is a condition and dare I say very expensive. You will pay for being human.
No place for competetion.
Don’t let a drunk or an angry friend get to you. They never ever mean it.
Every one needs time and space.
No place for a lie.
Its ok to admit, you screwed up.They will understand.
Everyone hurts.It’s called ‘being human’.
Just because they don’t tell you, don’t discount that they have feelings too and equally precious.
No point holding a grudge, life is too short for that.
If some thing is bothering you, talk about it.
If you can’t, then let go.May be even that friend.
No one is perfect, neither are you.
No place for uncomfortable silences. It’s ok to be comfortable with silences though.
If your friend hurts you, breaks your trust and makes you feel like crap it was all their fault, they do it again, totally yours this time.
There is a difference between love and lust.Don’t bother figuring this one out, but be objective.
If some one asks something from you, remember there is a probability that you are their last hope.Be kind if not generous.
Don’t wait to be asked, it should never come to that.
If you trust some one, go all the way, give that trust a chance. They didn’t earn it out of nothing.
Give your self a chance.
If some thing bothers you, let them know, chances are you misunderstood your friend.
Give, don’t expect. That is the root cause of all misery.
Give only as much as you can.
Don’t give it all you have.
Don’t take your friends for granted. They don’t come with guarantees.
Respect your friends.
No place for egos.
It’s ok to say sorry. It’ has never hurt anyone.
Friends are special because they chose to be a part of your life.
Being friends used to mean something to me.I don’t want to forget what it used to be like in the good old days.

I’m just happy that there are still some friends who remind me of exactly what friendship is supposed to be.

Nothing here that one can disagree with, and lots that I totally agree with, especially the ‘admit that you screwed up’ and ‘talk about it’ part

Therefore good friends are so few. But then rarity is the essence.

You bet, seems like ego, misunderstandings and insecurities have taken over of genuine affection and love.
Arz000n:
Hence the need for the following pointers on giving.I didn’t write these down to make them look good on my blog.I wanted to remind myself of what I believe in.

Just one question:
isnt there a moment in your life when u said ‘Thats perfect’??
educatedunemployed said,
May 9, 2006 at 10:26 pm
Ravi:
Is there one in yours?I don’t want to know..but if there is..then savour it.I wasn’t referring to things, moments, theories in my post but to people. And no I don’t think any theory is perfect. What works for me, may not work for some one else. You still want to call it a cliche or ask me just that one question go ahead.I stand my ground.Keeping the conversation within the context of my post,I hope you see my point,if not there is no end to the debate.

Hmmm … a sum total of all of lives experiences aye?? The sad part is even when you know all this, chances are you go ahead and make the same mistakes ..
educatedunemployed said,
May 11, 2006 at 9:07 pm
Kumar Chetan:
Glad you liked them. But then can I sue for informed robbery of my stuff.Else, all payments to be made in cash only.
Ford Perfect:
Hmmm,no far more experienced than a few scribbled lines. What really makes me sad, is that few unfortunate bitter experiences for no fault of anyone, makes me wonder if I am infact an emotional fool and I don’t want them to get to me.
